Two years ago, when I was away at University and faced with hosting my own Thanksgiving dinner, I did a lot of research. What I came up with was a blend of three different recipes which, when combined, has blessed me with the juiciest, most tasty and tender turkey for three years in a row.
The season may be over, but I couldn’t leave it behind without sharing my family stuffing recipe!
The holidays may be over, but that doesn’t mean the pies need to be!
This is the final installment of my holiday pies, but it is such a classic. Creamy, so tasty, and easily enjoyed all year round, the pumpkin pie always loved.
If there is one pie that I can never wait until the Holiday season to make, it is the pecan pie.
Sure, the seasonal favourite pumpkin pie is lovely (look for that recipe next!) but, for me, nothing compares to the salty sweetness of the pecans. Their wonderful crunch combined with the thick custardy-ness of the filling is enough to make my mouth water.
It’s almost Christmas!
I’ve been celebrating the coming holidays since November 1st, because we start early in the UK – Bonfire Night generally includes fireworks and is on November 5th. Think of it like an early New Years.
